4 Girls and a herd of goats! Only way to describe the time we spent here on Grasshopper Island. Thank you so much TJ for having us as your guests. The highlight of our trip included kayaking, hiking, s'mores, star gazing, badminton, volleyball, checkers, Taboo, Monopoly, stories by the campfire, and of course the bond we shared with the goats!

We'll definitely be back with more food to feed the goats and hopefully see the chickens and pigs. We learned how to BBQ, kayak, and start a campfire all in under two days (with a little bit of help from the guys to help kick start the grill). This was the perfect way to start our summer.

Thank you Trudy Jo for the wonderful experience at the eco-loft. It was one of the most memorable weekends. The view, the stars, the water, the fish, the sheep, its all perfect. Thanks for the wonderful weekend.

Thank you for providing us such a peaceful, quiet location from the busy life of Toronto. Amazing! This spot provides, what we really need: peacefulness, just with ourselves, tranquillity, wilderness, total rest from civilization! Tons of walking, fishing, sitting at the fire, long conversations, communication with the family. I am so glad that in this world we can still find such a place we can be totally alone with nature. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Bravo for thinking this way!!! We will definitely be back in the near future!

What a time it has been out on this wonderful island. How exciting to have the “bah” of the sheep wake you up! ( In a good way). Sitting in front of our very own personal fire- the blaze rising high – singing along with the guitar and indulging in smores was great. It was fabulous to be able to relax and simply take in the sounds and smell of nature. We will be back!

A NATURE LOVERS HONEYMOON DREAM: ISLAND SPIRITS

The stars aligned for us that day because it didn’t take long to find an island retreat that was only a couple of hours away. The cherry on top… the island is full of roaming animals. This HAD to be too good to be true! I called right away and booked us in for that night in the sunset eco-cabin. We set off on our road trip to Rice Lake, enjoying the views of the beautiful Canadian countryside. . .

The trip was so good we came back the next week for 2 more nights! We haven’t had a chance to get back yet but would love to this year to see the animals that have joined the island and to see how it has changed. If you love nature and animals like we do, please take a trip here, I know you will love it as much as we did!

Island Spirits was the best vacation we have ever taken! We came to relax and have fun! We got to do plenty of both! We stayed in the log cabin and it was beautiful and comfortable. We spent our days down at the lake, fishing, canoeing & kayaking! Many firsts for us and our children. We went to the island to visit for the day, we had such a great time on Grasshopper Island that we went back a second day! The island has lots of hiking trails, animals and great swimming spots! Remember to take compost for the piggies! Give the goats a snuggle and some leaves (they love them!) TJ we had an amazing time, enjoyed everything Island Spirits has to offer. Thank you for everything! We hope to see you again next summer!
